Liam Myles is a first-year trainee clinical psychologist at the University of Oxford and was awarded the 2022 British Psychological Society Division of Clinical Psychology Pre-Qualification Award. This was awarded for pre-doctoral contributions to clinical work and research developments in clinical practice. Liam’s research pertains to the influence of variations in cognitive mechanisms on psychological welfare. He has published over 30 papers related to this topic and has presented his work at a variety of both research and clinical conferences, in an endeavour to improve clinical care, health care policies and contemporary research practices. In addition, Liam received this award for his work developing policy improvements with professional and governmental bodies, including the British Psychological Society.
