“ A qualitative exploration of working with Panjabi speakers in Buckinghamshire Memory Clinic” -Dr Ranjeet Bassi, Dr Reena Vohora and Dr Anna Crabtree

This service improvement project explored Panjabi speaking service users’ views on memory difficulties and accessing professional help, as well as exploring memory clinic staff members views on working with non-English speaking Panjabi service users. Several useful recommendations came out of this project which the Buckinghamshire Memory Clinic then took forward.

This project was presented as a poster presentation at the Faculty for the Psychology of Older People Annual Conference 2022 and was awarded Best Poster - “We were struck by how this project embodied inclusivity and had some extremely helpful thoughts for clinicians on how best to support this population.”

Ranjeet is now working in Waltham Forest CAMHS and has a split role across their Emotional Difficulties Pathway and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Pathway. The project was supervised by Dr Reena Vohora and Dr Anna Crabtree.
