Lucy Cogdell-Brooke

I am a first-year trainee having started my clinical training in 2021. My first placement is with Working Age Adults in Talking Therapies in Thatcham within  Berkshire NHS, before moving into the community based Neuro Rehab team  also with Berkshire NHS.

Previous Experience: Prior to training I worked within an Psychological Approaches team for NHS Lothian working with Older Adults with Stress and Distress behaviours in dementia, working both in the community in care homes and also on in-patient wards. I completed a Neuropsychology PhD titled “The Role of Semantic Control beyond Semantics: Evidence from Semantic Aphasia and fMRI” as well as a Research Methods MSc, both as Surrey University. I have also worked as an Assistant Psychologist in a Acquired Brain Injury service for NHS Worcestershire, as well as at HMP YOI Ashfield working with Young Offenders.

Professional Interests: My current interests are primarily within Neuropsychology and Older Adults. I am also interested in exploring Clinical Health Psychology settings further.
