Peoples Experience Group (PEG)

Thank you for your interest in the People’s Experience Group (PEG) at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research (OXICPTR)!

We believe that involving people with lived experience, in the training of healthcare professionals, is essential to providing safe, caring health services. Our PEG is committed to doing just this.

The PEG is a group of people with lived experiences of using mental health services and/or caring for someone who does.  Our members come from across the Thames Valley Region and beyond.

PEG members are involved in all aspects of OXICPTR’s work, including attending committee meetings, interview panels, research projects, teaching activities and co-producing reports and publications.

Who can join the PEG?

Anyone with lived experience of using mental health services, or caring for someone who does, in the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and Northeast Somerset areas can join the PEG.

All we ask is that you:

· Have an interest in mental health and psychology

· Are keen to use your lived experience as a service user or carer to improve clinical psychology training and research

· Can work effectively with a diverse group of people with lived and professional expertise
