Maddy started her role as Involvement Coordinator at OxICPTR in 2024. She has a BA(Hons) in Social and Political Studies (Ruskin College, Oxford) and an MA Disability Studies (University of Leeds).
Prior to her current role, she worked as a Researcher both at King’s College London and the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers. She has also led patient-public involvement projects for the NHS and as the manager of Healthwatch Barnet. She has her own lived experience of using mental health services and conducting lived experience research.
Maddy’s research interests include women’s experiences of navigating systems of mental healthcare; psychosis, motherhood and citizenship; and participatory methods in healthcare improvement. She is happy to provide lived experience expertise relating to perinatal mental health and psychosis.
