Yusuf Rasul

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Oxford (2023-2026). Prior to my undergraduate studies, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist school for pupils who have severe and complex needs arising from communication and interaction difficulties, autism and severe learning disabilities. I then completed my BSc Psychology at the University of Leeds where I took a placement year working across several NHS psychology services. After graduating, I worked as a Higher Assistant Psychologist in a Community Learning Disabilities Team before working as a Research Assistant with Professor Stephen Coleman at the University of Leeds. Research interests include the conceptualisation of neurodevelopmental conditions; interventions for people with autism and, or severe learning disabilities; and team dynamics from a psycho-communicative perspective. Passionate about developing effective systems which promote accessible and meaningful care.
