Sophie Clegg

I am currently a trainee at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology. My first placement is with an Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) within Oxford.

Prior to training, I completed a BSc (Hons) Psychology with Clinical Professional Placement Year at Cardiff University. During my Clinical Placement I worked as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist within a CMHT, and a Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team based in South Wales.

During my undergraduate degree I worked as a Research Assistant looking at memory in Older Adults (Alzheimer's Disease) and as a Mental Health Support Worker on a Low Secure Forensic Ward. I was also involved in community outreach work for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and from care settings, facilitating access to Higher Education.

Post graduation, I have worked as an Assistant Psychologist in Reading CMHT Integrated Psychological Therapies.

I am open to exploring new research interests currently. However, I am particularly interested in tic disorders, clinical health psychology, and improving transdiagnostic care within secondary care services.
