Rosalind Birch

I am a trainee clinical psychologist in the 2024-2027 cohort. I’m based in the Brackley region and my first-year placement is with Northampton Talking Therapies. Prior to training, I completed a Psychology BSc with Professional Placement and an MSc in Children’s Psychological Disorders, both at Cardiff University. My MSc project looked at EEG event-related potentials in children stratified by disordered eating and obsessive-compulsive behaviours. Following my studies, I worked as a mental health worker embedded in Children’s Social Care as part of the Think Family approach. I worked with parents of children on child in need and child protection plans completing brief mental health interventions. After this, I delivered psychological interventions to adults with complex emotional needs, or personality disorder, in an Oxfordshire Keystone Mental Health Team. I have a range of interests, including eating disorders, personality difficulties, family systems (particularly siblings), and lived experience which I hope to develop while studying on the course.
