I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist in the 2024 cohort at Oxford. Prior to this, I worked in CAMHS, firstly as a support worker in the Crisis and Home Treatment Service and then as an Assistant Psychologist, working with young people and their parents/ carers across a range of mental health difficulties. I started my professional career as a practising veterinary surgeon, later working on the non-clinical side, delivering training, coaching and career mentoring to veterinary professionals, vet students and aspiring vets. I have also worked in both the private and public sector, delivering IT and organisational change projects and programmes and had a variety of roles in voluntary organisations. My clinical and research interests include working with young people in complex networks, early life trauma and attachment and neuropsychology. I’m also curious about how clinical psychologists work day-to-day; what we do, why we do it and how this is experienced by service users, as well as how the social graces are incorporated into both our work and that of wider services and networks.
