Meghan Nicholson

I am going into my second year of the Oxford Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training course. My placements so far have been in adult and older adult psychological services in Buckinghamshire.

Prior to training, I graduated with a BSc in Psychology from the University of St Andrews. I worked as an Assistant Psychologist, firstly within an older adult inpatient service and later as part of a neurodevelopmental diagnostic pathway in community CAMHS. My interests broadly include trauma, attachment and neuropsychology.
My research will explore dissociative experiences in young people, the use of restrictive practices on inpatient wards, and peer support following traumatic incidents in emergency services personnel.
