Megan Montgomery

I am currently a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at Oxford (2024-2027). My first placement is a 12-month split placement between the Acute Liaison Mental Health Service and Liaison Psychiatry for Older People Service in the Northamptonshire region. Prior to training, I completed a BSc in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Glasgow and PGCert in Psychological Therapies at the University of Edinburgh. During this time I also worked as an Honorary Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow and published a systematic review and meta-analysis on the prevalence of insomnia and insomnia symptoms following mild traumatic brain injury. More recently I have been involved in research exploring sleep difficulties post-stroke and music-based interventions for sleep in adults. Before starting on the course I was working as an Enhanced Psychological Practitioner in NHS Fife’s Adult Psychology Service and an Assistant Psychologist in CAMHS in NHS Lothian. My current research interests include brain injury, the interface between mental and physical health, women’s health and eating disorders in children and young people.
