Lydia Boucher

I am a currently in my first year of the Oxford Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and will be working in the adults Community Mental Health Team in Maidenhead for my first placement.

My route to clinical psychology was non-traditional, having studied English Literature for my undergraduate degree, I then worked in marketing for 6 years in various sectors. I decided to pursue a career in clinical psychology in 2019, completing a MSc Psychology Conversion, alongside working in a CAMHS eating disorders inpatient service. Prior to starting the doctorate, I trained as an Education Mental Health Practitioner, delivering low-intensity CBT with children and young people in an education setting.

I am keen to broaden and develop my interests whilst on the doctorate. My current interests include complex trauma, adolescent mental health, and eating disorders. I am also interested in learning more about health psychology.
