Lucy Jenkins

I am a first-year trainee clinical psychologist (2025-2028). Prior to training, I completed an Integrated Masters degree (MSci) in Psychology and Psychological Practice at the University of Birmingham, where I also gained experience as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist in a perinatal mental health team. After graduating, I spent 1.5 years working as an Assistant Psychologist in an adult fatigue management service, followed by 1.5 years in a children's psychological medicine team. The latter post involved supporting children and families across a range of health specialties, including cystic fibrosis, gastroenterology, neonatal and general paediatric inpatient wards. I am particularly interested in clinical health psychology settings and the application of psychological theories and models to support adjustment to and management of health conditions. I look forward to developing my knowledge base in this and other areas throughout clinical training.
