Libby joined OxICPTR as a course tutor in the Academic Team in June 2022. She has worked in NHS mental health services since 2000 when she joined the newly opening Deaf children’s inpatient unit at Springfield Hospital in Tooting, London. After qualifying as a clinical psychologist at UCL in 2005, she worked initially in a medium secure hospital in East London. For the following years, she worked at National Deaf Services where she became the lead for the psychology and psychotherapies team, serving Deaf and Deafblind adults in the community and in a specialist BSL inpatient ward. She has particular interests in adult mental health, experiences of psychosis and functional neurological disorders. She is committed to working in partnership with experts by experience and is co-lead for the People's Experience Group.
