I joined the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist in the 2023-2026 cohort. Prior to training, I completed an integrated masters degree (MSci Psychology and Psychological Practice) at the University of Birmingham. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a Research Assistant which, most recently, focused on how to promote inclusivity and diversity in research with neurodiverse populations. Additionally, I completed a year-long clinical placement as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist in an older adult acute inpatient mental health setting, which included working with dementia and frailty. Since graduating, I have worked in multiple neurorehabilitation services in both the NHS and third sector as a Senior Assistant Psychologist where I supported individuals and their families following brain injury. My interests lie in neuropsychology (specifically neurorehabilitation, using third wave approaches to support psychological adjustment following brain injury, and supporting the systems around the individual with a brain injury) and clinical health psychology (specifically chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and women’s health). I am interested in working with those with unseen conditions/disabilities/illnesses and am keen to investigate psychological factors in relation to such conditions to increase psychological functioning and well-being. I recognise that accessing mental and physical health services has potential to be unsettling and difficult, therefore I hope to provide compassionate, empowering, and validating care to the people, systems, and services that I support.
