Jessica Plumbridge

I started as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist in September 2023. My first placement is a year-long split between a Talking Therapies service and a Younger People with Dementia service.

EDUCATION

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I completed my MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King’s College London (part-time via distance learning).

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

While completing my undergraduate degree, I volunteered with ‘Headway’, a charity that supports people following brain injury. After graduating, I was as a support worker in an inpatient mental health setting before moving to an

Assistant Psychologist post within the same hospital. Following this, I was a Senior Assistant Psychologist in a Memory Assessment Service.

INTERESTS

Much of my experience has focused on older adult mental health and (progressive) neurological conditions such as dementia and Huntington's disease. My interests continue to lie in these areas and I am also looking forward to working in areas that I am not familiar with.
