I have recently completed my first year of clinical training. During this time, I have undertaken placements in Adult Mental Health Community Mental Health Services - working particularly with complex trauma, Palliative care, and Community Neurorehabilitation services.
Professional interests
I am interested in Older Adult Mental health as well as end of life care. I find questions regarding fluid self-image across the lifespan and dignified dying particularly important. Further, I enjoy working with clients of all ages with trauma history. Lastly, I find nosology of psychopathology an important topic for further research and reflection.
Clinical and Research Experience
Before joining the Oxford DClinPsy programme, I gained a wealth of experience in IAPT as an Assistant Psychologist, providing low-intensity CBT in a busy and diverse service. Previous to this, I completed my MSc in Clinical Neuropsychiatry, being awarded the Anthony David award for academic excellence, and undertook a position in Older Adult liaison psychiatry and Palliative care. I have also worked therapeutically in a school environment with difficult-to-reach adolescents aged 11-17. My research interests have previously been in the area of psychosis, particularly looking at psychophysical processes of visual working memory and the potential theragnostic value of immunomodulatory mechanisms in treatment-resistant psychosis.
