Grace Woolway

I am currently a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at Oxford (2023-2026). I am based within the Berkshire region and my first placement is in Maternal Mental Health. Experience & Education: Prior to training I completed a PhD at the Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics at Cardiff University, under the supervision of Professor James Walters. My thesis explored the association between genetic risk for schizophrenia and experiences of childhood adversity. Before studying my PhD, I worked at the National Centre for Mental Health as a Psychology Assistant, in the NHS (in research, a neuroscience inpatient setting, and an Adult Autism and ADHD assessment service), and in community care homes and in a special educational needs school. I additionally spent a summer volunteering in Sri Lanka in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health settings, and local schools. Clinical and Research interests: Some of my interests include (but are not limited to) trauma, psychosis, perinatal mental health and improving access to mental health support.
