Eve Whitwell

Prior to starting training, I was working as an Assistant Psychologist for CAMHS. My assistant psychologist post was split between the “non-violent resistance (NVR)” intervention, where my roles included running workshops and groups for parents whose children displayed violent and/or controlling behaviour. I also worked for the “gender dysphoria” pathway where I supported young transgender people struggling with their mental health, and their families.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Cardiff University. During my third year I completed a placement year as an honorary research assistant at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney in a developmental psychology research team.

INTERESTS

My interests include child and adolescent mental health, in particular gender dysphoria. My first year placement is a split role between IAPT and older adults memory in Milton Keynes.
