I am currently a trainee clinical psychologist, having started my training at the University of Oxford in 2023. I also have a BSc in Psychology from the University of Bristol, and an MSc in the Foundations of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health from the University of Sussex.
Prior to starting on the course in Oxford, I was working as an assistant psychologist on an inpatient dementia unit in Worthing, East Sussex. I also have a range of previous work and voluntary experience with people with learning disabilities and neurodiversity.
To me it is very important to involve service-users in all aspects of what we do; therefore, throughout my training I hope to work collaboratively with service-users to shape how services are designed and delivered.
I currently have one paper under review for publication, entitled: “You've actually got two patients, you haven't got one”: Parent-informed criteria for evaluating the autism assessment process.
I also have a particular interest in the following clinical/research areas: learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, dementia, physical disability, child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS), and systemic practices.
