Christy Cheung

I am currently a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology. I completed my BSc (Hons) in Psychology at Durham University and my MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at University College London (UCL).

Prior to training, I worked as an Assistant Psychologist in a Tier 3.5 Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) CAMHS service, supporting young people with presentations consistent with emerging Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (eEUPD) or emerging Borderline Personality Disorder (eBPD).

Alongside my MSc, I was an Honorary Assistant Psychologist in a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy service.

I began working as a Research Assistant with a Canadian research lab during my undergraduate studies, contributing to five interrelated international developmental projects, and continued this collaboration alongside full-time clinical work until shortly before training.

I have a particular interest in systemic approaches and the ways in which family and social contexts influence emotional development and wellbeing.
