Bethan Roberts

Bsc (Hons), Msc

I am a first-year trainee with the Oxford institute of Clinical Psychology Training & Research. My first clinical placement will be within the Bracknell Adult Community Mental Health Team.

Professional Interests

Prior to embarking on training, I worked as an Assistant Psychologist for 3 years. For my first two posts, I worked within an in-patient neurorehabilitation hospital and a community stroke service. My role encompassed, neuropsychological assessment, psychological interventions to support post-injury adjustment, and carer support. To gain further clinical experience my final assistant psychologist post was within primary care mental health services. Here I was able to provide brief psychological interventions to those with a range of mental health conditions.

I have also enjoyed a number of voluntary positions in a range of other settings including a cognitive disorders clinic, neurosurgical ward, and within a brain injury support charity.

My research interests include health psychology and neuropsychology. In particular, the psychological impact of acquired brain injury.
