I am currently in my first year of clinical training, working in a split placement with the Homelessness Pathway and TalkingSpace Plus in Oxford.
Prior to training, I completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in the University of Barcelona, Spain, and a master’s degree in War & Psychiatry at King’s College London. I have trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy and have been a research assistant in a randomised control trial in the Democratic Republic of Congo with survivors of SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) and former child soldiers.
I have worked in asylum seeker and refugee mental health in the third sector in London as an assistant psychologist. More recently, I spent 1 year in Nigeria helping and training small grass-root charities in war-torn areas to become trauma-informed, and providing both individual and group support and counselling focusing on trauma, mental health awareness and de-stigmatisation.
My research and clinical interests are: complex trauma in marginalised groups, culturally adapted psychotherapy, stigma and moral injury.
