Amy Thomas

I am currently in my first year at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training.

Prior to this, I was working as an Assistant Psychologist in a forensic neurodevelopmental disabilities service, covering autism spectrum condition, intellectual disability, and acquired brain injury. I have also worked in a high secure psychiatric hospital, in the male personality disorder pathway.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice at Liverpool John Moores University, and my master’s in Forensic Psychology at Kingston University.

My interests include forensics, personality disorder, neurodevelopmental conditions, and trauma-informed approaches. My research interests are still to be defined.

My first placements are with the Intensive Management of Personality Disorder and Clinical Therapies Team (IMPACTT), and the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team in Reading
