Amandeep is a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Couples Therapist and Video Interaction Guidance Practitioner. She completed her CBT training at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre in 2015 and has since worked in primary care settings and most recently in specialist perinatal community health teams, supporting families through a particularly vulnerable time of their lives. Amandeep has provided specialist supervision in these roles and developed CBT pathways between primary and secondary care services. Her interests include perinatal mental health and creating equitable access and engagement in mental health services.
Amandeep joined OCTC as an Academic Tutor for the Postgraduate Diploma in CBT in October 2022. In her role she provides clinical supervision, marking and pastoral support for students. She is also involved in embedding EDI initiatives into training courses.
Since June 2023, Amandeep has been the BABCP Top Up Programme Lead for qualified Clinical Psychologists supporting clinicians progress towards BABCP Accreditation by coordinating CBT teaching, supervision and marking nationally.
Amandeep is passionate about considering intersections within therapy and the role of power and privilege in therapeutic relationships and hopes to embed this in clinical training and practice.
