Georgina Hobden

I joined the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research as a trainee clinical psychologist in September 2024. Prior to this, I completed a PhD (DPhil) in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford (2021-2024), where my research focused on developing a psychological intervention for stroke survivors experiencing cognitive impairment. During my doctoral studies, I also worked as an Assistant Psychologist, providing support to individuals with acquired head and brain injuries. My current professional interests centre on the relationship between physical and mental health. I am particularly interested in how individuals (and their family systems) adjust psychologically after sustaining injuries or receiving medical diagnoses. I am also interested in the conceptualisation, assessment, and treatment of eating disorders.
