What I Do

I am an HCPC and BPS registered Clinical Psychologist working with Children and Families experiencing Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing challenges. I have experience in both CAMHs and Paediatrics, and work privately with the Little Therapy Room outside of my role on the course.

On the Course

I am a course tutor, responsible for the oversight of tutees Clinical and Research competency development throught training. As a member of the clinical team, I organise and support the provision of clinical placements for trainees, and the development of systems and processes to support the trainees’ progression in their clinical work.

I lead the Problem-Based Learning stream, which works to bring together consultants with lived experience, as well as consultants within our clinical network, to help trainees reflect on diverse Clinical and Ethical dilemmas that reach beyond the scope of didactic teaching.

From September 2021, I will be Co-ordinating the open module talks series: A series of talks that provides a platform for our own Trainees, local, and national professional network to connect and collaborate around current and significant areas of research and practice.

Professional, clinical, and research interests

I have worked at a number of different levels across the Psychological professions. This has provided me with opportunities to support national NHS quality improvement programmes. Within my professional leadership roles I am particularly interested in how we support access to emotional wellbeing support, equally, regardless of difference. As part of this, I am keen to research the impact that digital initiatives can have in developing our culture and conversations around mental health, and bringing the ‘front door’ of services closer to the user. I also believe this culture is directly and innately linked to how we support our own and our employees emotional wellbeing in all of life’s contexts.
